Regular Season Round 4: Sigulda - Ajara 68-64

Everything went according to plan when seventeenth ranked LatvianSigulda (2-2) won against at home bottom-ranked Georgian Ajara (0-4) 68-64 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-12 . But Ajara won second period 23-20 . However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Sigulda won last quarter 15-13 . They also forced 19 Ajara turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Klavs Ervalds who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Gustavs Petersons who added 17 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Sigulda players scored in double figures. At the losing side Tato Chachanidze responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds and Jumber Tavdgiridze produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Sigulda moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 7 other teams. Loser Ajara still keeps top with four games lost. They share the position with 7 other teams.
